Misty shot out of the lake, her wide aqua eyes looking up at the sky. She rested against the bank of the lake, looking up. Staring at the stars and sighing, she leaned her head on her hand, and her silvery white fin swayed back and forth slowly.

How she loved to look up at the sky, and most other nymphs would think of her more to be a descendant of the wind nymphs or because of her rugged looks, a wind sprite.

Although it wasn’t the sky she liked, or the stars. It was what she wanted to float in the sky. She wanted Ash, a young electric nymph.

"Little Princess…"

Misty heard a voice from behind her and stopped gazing at the sky. She turned around and could see her three older sisters. All three had different hair colors, but all three had silver fins, a symbol to the royal family.

"Is little Princess Misty wishing she were a wind sprite again?" teased Lily.

Misty frowned. She didn’t want to be a wind sprite.

"Lily, you know you should tease her when she’s in that little space-out thing," said Violet.

"Well excuse me!"

Misty turned around as she looked up at the sky again, keeping a watch for any large clouds that held thunder.

"Please leave me, sisters. I wish only to be alone right now," said Misty. She brushed back a lock of wet hair that hung from under the rim of her small crown.

"But Misty, Mother is worried about you so that’s why we came up: to keep you company," said Daisy, ignoring Lily and Violet’s fighting.

"I don’t want company by you."

"Oh! Are you already growing up? Do you, perhaps, want more of the company of a man instead of your family?"

Violet, with her crown hanging slanted off her head, swam up to Misty. "Maybe we should get her future husband?"

"You mean Tracey!" exclaimed Lily.

The three girls went underwater, leaving Misty to look up at the sky again. She didn’t want Tracey or to be associated with the wind element. She just wanted that boy who she saw such a long time ago.

**flashback**

Misty lay against the bank of the lake. She waved her fin back and forth, closing her eyes to rest. She could hear some humming nearby just as she began to doze off.

She opened her eyes and turned on her stomach, peering through the vegetation that grew in her way. She saw a young boy dressed all in gold. He surely wasn’t a water nymph because he had legs. He also had ruffled hair under the hat he wore; the hat, having a little fabric lighting bolt (as opposed to a feather).

Misty blushed when seeing him picking the fruit off of a nearby tree. What a cute looking boy he was, but he didn’t even see her.

"Ash, dear, come along now before the rest of us leave!" a voice called out from behind him.

A woman with brown hair and a golden dress, took his hand and they scurried off, dropping a few of the fruits.

"A… Ash," Misty repeated his name.

**end flashback**

"Hello, Princess Misty," said somebody. Misty knew the voice, and she remembered where her sisters had gone.

She could just feel the presence of Tracey and how uncomfortable she got near him. She like him, of course, but there was just something about him that felt so "different" that Ash didn’t.

"Hello, Tracey," replied Misty and she bowed to him slightly.

He took a low bow back. "Your sisters have requested I keep you company for a while."

"Tracey, you’re such a good friend, but…"

"Ahh, but we will be much more than friends, Princess Misty, for when you are old enough, I will marry you."

"Yes, of course, Tracey. We will marry soon. It’s just that…" Misty wondered of how she could be polite to him on this.

"Does something trouble you, Princess?" he asked.

"Tracey, I don’t know how to put this, but… I really don’t want to marry you. I love you only as a friend."

Misty sighed, and turned around against him.

Tracey frowned even more. "Princess, you understand we must keep the royal blood in our families?"

"Yes, Dear Tracey. I understand our families are strict of this… but… I just can’t seem to see myself destined to be with you. It just doesn’t feel right."

"Misty."

She turned her head up when hearing her being addressed without the word ‘princess’ before it, as she had grown so used to it.

Tracey leaned closer to her, and put his hand on her shoulder. "You must understand," he said softly, "that I too don’t wish we will wed but I know that we must in order to keep tradition."

Misty felt surprised that he didn’t love her as well, but she didn’t show it.

"Dear Tracey, I wish to be alone for a while. Please."

"Of course Princess. I understand how hard this must be for you," said Kenji, giving her one last look of apology, and he dove underwater.

Misty curled her white fin up and she shakily moved her hand to the edge of the bank. A tear rolled down her cheek.

She kept looking up at the starry sky, but could notice a glowing cloud pass by. She rubbed off her tears and stared up at it, hoping the boy she had seen was there.

As if it had been a once-in-a-lifetime experience, Misty gazed at the glowing cloud. She looked closely at the lot of thunder nymphs. They danced along the thunder and lighting that sparked out, taking quick dives under the cloud full of energy, and that’s how it moved.

Up in the cloud, Ash waited his turn to help move the cloud along, as (although it seemed so wild) this was an organized process.

As he shot down and curved up, he looked at the view, seeing a large lake below him, along with the rest of the forest. Although besides that, he could see a small water nymph looking up at him. She had wild red hair and a sparkling white fin that caught his eye.

She struck him as love and he stared at her. Misty stared back, raising her head up and feeling the need to jump out of the lake and wave her arms and hands, but she was too used to her polite manners and stayed quiet.

Ash floated still for a moment as several thunder nymphs flew past him. His mother grabbed his wrist, startling him.

"Ash, stay with the group or you’ll get lost!" she scolded.

"Sorry, Mom," he replied and curved up into the cloud.

Meanwhile, Misty looked out for him more, and as he dived down and up both of them would spot each other.

As the cloud gradually floated away, Misty turned away. She looked at her reflection in the water and frowned.

She really did look like such a mess for a princess.

"Maybe he won’t think much of me if I don’t look my best," she said to herself.

*-30 minutes

"Mom?" said Ash later in the night before most of the group went to bed.

"Hush, dear. People are trying to sleep," Hanako whispered.

"When’s the next time we go down to the ground?"

"Tomorrow, dear. When we gather food, then we’ll leave to go back."

"Oh, okay," replied Ash and he looked down from the cloud they lay on.

"Now go to sleep, Ash. We have a busy day tomorrow."

Hanako kissed his cheek and both lay down on the cloud, becoming drowsy.

** -1 day

Misty sat in her chambers next to her bed, in front of a mirror. She brushed her hair, getting the tangles out. After setting down the brush, she pulled up her hair and was going to tie it in a bun as she always did, but decided not to. Instead, she tried a new look, and perhaps it would suit her better. Misty tied her short hair in a diagonal ponytail, which wavered around in the water. She took off the crown she wore and decided to wear a headpiece that wrapped around her forehead that sparkled with blue jewels and silver.

She looked at herself, feeling most confident and content. She smiled happily and her fin curled up in joy.

She swam out of her room and into the giant halls, passing by all of the maids and servants. She laughed as she swam almost up into the ceiling but remembered the point of her new look, and settled down, embarrassed by the maids staring at her strangely. She continued slowly, her eyes closed halfway and a smaller smile on her lips.

* -1 minute

Misty layed against the bank as she usually did and continued to look up at the sky, which was now lighter with the sun.

"Do you always look up at the sky?" said a voice, but a very unfamiliar one.

Misty looked to her right and could see this "Ash" that she longed to meet for so long. She blushed immediately and her fin became tense (The water spirits’ (nymph or sprite) fins are what they use to show different expressions).

"Oh… ahh, no I don’t," she said.

"What’s your name?" asked Ash.

"I’m Misty, one of the four princesses of the water nymphs," she replied and bowed her head a little to him.

"I’m Ash. Are you really a princess?"

"Yes, I’m one of the four."

"As I’ve learned there’s only three and one who looks like a demon…"

Misty wrinkled her nose and her blushing became more of a red anger as she glared at Ash, but he didn’t notice it and only glanced at her, while otherwise looking over into the rest of his surroundings. He turned to her and smiled.

"…but that’s just a rumor, and you certainly look like a princess. I like your headset."

Misty came back to blushing again, and she laughed a little. "Thanks."

Misty rested her elbows on the bank and admired Ash’s cute looks.

"So you’re a thunder nymph?"

"Yeah. We have to leave here tonight. Then we continue migrating to the west, and then we come back here for food, and go east."

Leave tonight? Right when she had gotten to talk to him?

"But maybe, do you think I could come and see you when we do come back in a week?"

"Yeah, of course!" Misty said but then covered her mouth. "I mean, yes, you may."

Ash smiled again. And so they continued to talk, and laugh, spent almost the whole afternoon taking turns with blushing with love, even though they never said it out loud.

"Ash!" Hanako called out from afar. Ash looked up with a frown.

"That’s my mom. You might want to hide," Ash whispered.

Misty dove under water quickly, barely leaving a ripple.

Hanako ran up to Ash. "Ash, what are you doing here?"

"Oh, I was only getting a drink of water, Mom," he replied.

"Alright, dear. Now don’t wander off too far and remember to get back into the group by sundown. We have got to keep on time!" she said sternly.

"Yes, Mom. I’ll remember."

"That’s a good little boy," she said and kissed him on the cheek.

Down below Misty felt envious of Ash’s mother. She wished she could kiss him. Misty could see Hanako’s rippled figure talk a little more, then walk away. She then saw Ash giving a signal to come up again.

She did so, splashing Ash a little in the process. Misty wiped her wet hair from her face and she could see Ash.

"The sun will set soon, so I’ll have to leave in a little while," said Ash.

"I wish you could stay, though," said Misty, holding onto Ash’s hand.

"If I don’t get back by sundown the group will leave without me."

Misty frowned. "Then promise me that no matter what you’ll be here next week?"

"Of course!" he said cheerfully, and kept his smile. "So… what’s it like underwater?"

"It’s very different from up here, not that I’ve seen much. Water flowers grow at the bottom and there are tunnels that lead to my castle. I suppose it’s like on the landscape but more wet. Up here it must be so dry. Don’t you ever need to at least take a swim once in a while?"

"Thunder nymphs and sprites can’t swim because water conducts electricity, and none of us are really good at swimming."

"Yeah, I suppose so if you’re going to be flying all around in the sky all the time."

"Here the air is so rich, it would be nice to stay. They always warn us not to go too far out in the sky or we’ll faint from lack of air."

"I never have to use my gills up here. It’s so strange… I guess we both have our different homes and we can’t adapt to well elsewhere."

"I wish I could swim."

"I wish I could fly."

Both laughed for a moment. Ash stopped first as he looked at the sun beginning to set. "I have to go now."

"Then I’ll wait for you next week," said Misty, now grabbing Ash’s entire arm.

"If I don’t come then I’d be surely dead, so you can count on it!"

Misty bowed to Ash. "I’ve had a pleasure meeting you and talking to you," said Misty, remembering how she had to be polite, yet she wish she could just say goodbye in her own way.

Ash made a low bow. "You too, Princess Misty." He made a short chuckle before standing up. "May you have good luck for seven days until I return!"

They both smiled.

Misty sighed dreamily as Ash started walking away.

*** -7 days

And so, Misty went on with her week, doing what she must and so on, but always thinking of how she would see Ash again.

But the day she popped out of the water, something hit her. She still had to marry Tracey. There would be no chance at all for her to ever be with Ash if her family didn’t change her mind, and even yet, maybe Ash’s family wouldn’t allow it as well.

With Ash as a thunder nymph and her as a water nymph, it may as well start a feud more than love. Besides that, she wasn’t sure weather or not Ash loved her just as deeply enough to marry her when they got older.

Misty rested her head on her arms on the bank. She tried not to cry, but she still had a lump in her throat and she developed a depressed and long face.

Unknown to her, Ash walked along and sat down next to Misty. He looked at her for a moment, frowning at seeing such a sad face. He brushed his fingers on a lock of Misty’s hair, and she became startled, shooting her head up.

"Why such a long face, Princess?"

"Ash!" cried out Misty and she hugged Ash tightly. "I’m so glad to see you!"

Ash laughed a little as he pulled out of the airless hug. "Nice to see you’re happy, then. But still, you looked like you were going to cry. Was something wrong?"

Misty looked away a little. "I have to marry someone in order to keep the royal blood line, but I don’t want to marry him."

Ash felt his body fire up, but for both Misty and his sake. He wished he could be the one to marry Misty.

"That’s unfair," he said, to the least.

"I like him as a friend, and I don’t want to depart from him completely, but I don’t want to go as far as marrying him. It just doesn’t feel right to be with him."

"Is there any way out of this?"

"No. I don’t want to upset my parents, and my sisters would think of me wrong if I don’t marry him. It’s just that… I just want to marry somebody else besides him," she said, and blushed at the thought of her marrying Ash. If she only could…

"Maybe some food will cheer you up?" Ash handed Misty a fruit he picked off of a tree.

"I’ve never eaten one of these before," said Misty.

"You haven’t? Have you ever even been out on land?"

"I’ve never left this lake in all my life," replied Misty.

"Hmm, I know a river nearby. Maybe I can show you around out of the lake and if you need to, you can swim in the river?"

"I’d love to, but I can’t walk," Misty said sadly and shook her fin.

Ash thought for a moment. "Up and away, Misty," he said.

"What?"

"Put your arms around my neck," he said.

Misty blushed deeply, but she did so, not sure of what Ash was doing. She could feel his arms on her back and she was lifted partially out of the water. She felt another arm around part of her tail and she was then completely out of the water.

Ash stumbled for a moment, surprised at how heavy she was for such a small girl. He kept his balance, and equalized the weight with the help of Misty clinging on tightly to his neck.

She felt warm in his arms and felt the urge to snuggle in, but she didn’t. She rested her chin on his shoulder and closed her eyes.

Ash looked down at her. She had a lot of body heat, although the cold water disguised it a little. Her white fin looked beautiful when the sun shone down on it, making it sparkling silver. Her wild red hair was unusual, especially for a water nymph (or any other water spirit), but that’s what he loved about her. She certainly wasn’t the prettiest or cutest girl in the land, yet she still hit Ash with love and he’d blush at her slightest touch.

Ash walked to the river and set Misty down on the grass. As Misty would usually expect more of her falling in, she didn’t and the ground seemed new for her to be sitting on.

"It feels different."

"You might get used to it," said Ash, sitting himself next to her. "Unless you want to go into the river."

"No, that’s quite alright," said Misty.

Ash looked at her fin, which laid curled up on the ground. It looked like half of her was a dead fish laying on the grass, but her fin still moved a little.

"Here’s the fruit," he said and handed her the plump looking peachy thing.

"Thank you," she said and blushed as their hands lingered more than they would have.

She sunk her teeth into it, enjoying the taste, but noticed Ash staring at her. She froze, still with her mouth on the food and her tail tensed up. "Hmm?"

They both looked in at each other’s eyes. Both were blushing deeply and they held their positions for a moment. Misty set down the half-eaten fruit on the grass as they both leaned forward and shared their first kiss.

Ash and Misty both kept the kiss as the river rushed on, the birds chirped, and the forest seemed to reflect off a shine of perfection all around the two.

* -0 minutes

Misty opened one worried eye. She pulled away from Ash and turned around with her face buried in her hands.

"Misty?" Ash wondered.

There was a sniffle heard from Misty and she raised up her head.

"Ash…" she said, "I still have to marry the other water nymph."

She turned back to Ash and hugged him, but still cried nonetheless.

"I don’t… want to marry him," she whispered.

*** -1 month

"I don’t like this one bit," said Daisy.

"She’s been getting way too many mood swings like this," added Lily.

"Mood swings? Lily, you’re talking like she’s pregnant," said Violet.

"Not those kind of mood swings!"

"Hush up!" hissed Daisy.

Misty’s three sisters had popped their heads from the doorway into her room. Misty mumbled nonsense in her sleep and had a worried looking face. She gripped her covers hard and tossed and turned wildly.

"Don’t… want to…" they could hear her say, but that was all they could make of in her stutters.

"Don’t want to?" repeated Violet. "She must be having a dream."

"No duh, Violet. You always have dreams when you’re asleep!" snorted Lily.

"Stop it," said Daisy. "We should follow her tomorrow. Maybe she’s found some sort of drug."

* -5 hours

"Look, there she is!" said Lily, pointing at Misty as she swam out of her room and down the hall quickly.

"Come on, let’s go," said Violet and they followed Misty down the hall.

Misty quickly went out of the entrance after pushing open the doors. She swam through the rocky tunnels, unaware of her sisters behind. She went straight up when getting out of the path of tunnels and burst out of the water.

Daisy, Lily, and Violet quickly popped their heads out of the water again, but hid behind a thick patch of cattails and rocks.

They kept a close watch on Misty while she looked back and forth at time to time.

"It looks like she’s looking for something," whispered Lily.

"What if she really did find a drug that’s causing all these weird emotional effects on her? Isn’t it strange that every time she comes back into the castle she’s in this happy cheery mood?" said Violet.

"Aha!" they heard Misty say and she stretched her back up and part of her fin showed.

"Hey, she’s found the thing," said Lily.

They could see a young boy all in yellow run up to Misty. Misty kissed him lightly and the two mumbled things they couldn’t hear for a few moments.

"That’s no drug, that’s a boy!" said Lily.

"He looks like a thunder nymph," said Violet.

"She can’t be with some scruffy thunder nymph! That’s dangerous!" hissed Lily.

"Quiet down and watch," said Daisy.

They could see the two laughing a little, then talking for a few more seconds. They could see Misty wrapping her arms around the back of his neck and he picked her up out of the water.

"What is he doing?!" exclaimed Lily, but still whispered.

"Hey, Misty’s the one who put her arms on him," said Violet.

"Whose side are you on?"

"Misty’s side."

"I didn’t mean it that way you-"

"Will you two stop fighting for god’s sake?" scolded Daisy.

Misty gave Ash a kiss on the cheek and cuddled up into him. "We have to find an easier way to get me out of the water."

"I’m not sure what to do about it," replied Ash. "Oh, I know a thunder sprite that can do magic!"

"I heard him say ‘magic!’" exclaimed Lily.

"Who can do magic?" wondered Violet.

"Thunder sprites are known for sorcery," said Daisy.

"Is that boy a sprite?!" asked Lily.

"No, he doesn’t have any fangs and he’s too neat to be a sprite," replied Violet.

Before they knew it, Ash and Misty walked away out of their site and away from the lake.

"Hey, where’s he taking her?!" exclaimed Lily.

"What if he’s kidnapping her?" said Daisy.

"He can’t do that!" snorted Violet.

* -10 minutes

Ash and Misty came upon a clearing in the thick forest. In the center was a straw hut with a door made of a thin cloth hanging down.

"Richie?" said Ash.

"Huh?" said a voice. A boy dressed in a long yellow robe came out. He saw Ash and gave an excited look. "Ash! Hey, how are you doing these days?" he asked and ran over to Ash and Misty.

"Just fine. You?"

"Oh, I’ve been doing the usual. Oh, hey, who’s this?" he asked while looking down at Misty. Misty could see two small fangs in his smile and he had a much more rugged look like her.

"This is Misty," replied Ash. "She’s a water nymph."

"Hi," Misty said, waving her hand a little. "I’d bow, sir, but my position isn’t at the right angle for that."

"Pikapi!" said a tiny voice. They saw two small animals rush out of the hut. One of them went up to Ash and nuzzled against his let.

"Pikachu!" exclaimed Ash. "Hey, he looks great!"

"Yeah, it’s been easy to poke-sit him," replied Richie. "Why don’t you come inside?"

Ash walked into the hut with Richie and the two pikachu followed along behind. Inside the hut were curved shelves along the walls filled with different bottles and pouches, each with labels on them. In the center there was a table and a few wooden stools neatly placed. The table, though, was layered with a few metal pans, a few pouches with some powder half spilled out of them, and several bottles of unknown liquid.

Riche waved his hand a little and gave a light tap on the table. Immediately the items disappeared, and the same rightful amount appeared on the shelves.

Ash sat down on one stool and kept Misty on his lap. Riche sat down across from them and rested his hands on the table.

"So what can I do for you, Ash? You don’t need your pikachu back already, do you? I thought your family was still caught up on this whole weekly weather ordeal. And you know Pikachu can’t fly."

"Oh, well, Misty wants to walk so I don’t have to carry her around so much if we go away from her lake."

Richie nodded. "I think that should be simple enough. You, umm, do have an extra pair of pants, right?"

"Why would I need an extra pair of pants?"

"Oh, you won’t. She will," he said and pointed at Misty. "She’s not wearing anything over that fin of hers, so having legs means having an extra article of clothing. She can’t just go around with that shirt on."

"I guess I never thought of that…" said Ash.

"Um… well, geeze, there must be something around here we can use…" Riche looked at the cloth hanging off the door. He took the multi-colored fabric off from the hut. "This should do," he said. Richie set the fabric on Misty’s lap, then picked her up from Ash’s lap. "This should only take a moment," he said. "You wait here."

Riche carried Misty outside where another set of tables and stools were placed as a backyard. He set her on one of the stools and she waited patiently, but excitedly.

Richie snapped his fingers twice and a beaker, along with two pouches, two glasses, and one candle (lit) appeared on the table.

Meanwhile, inside, Ash noticed a sudden change in the room, and noticed a few objects were missing. The hut was now especially darker with one of the candles missing.

Ash’s pikachu, along with Richie’s pikachu scampered along the room. They both looked alike except Richie’s pikachu seemed a bit scruffier.

"Pikapi!" said his own Pikachu, jumping up onto the table and nuzzling into Ash’s face.

"Hey, it’s been a while since I last saw you, huh?" said Ash.

"Pikachu!" it replied.

"Has Richie been treating you okay?"

"Pika!" it said happily as a ‘yes.’

"Once my family and their friends find a good place that doesn’t have as much electrical charges in the atmosphere I should be able to bring you with me."

"Chu?" it said, confused as what Ash mean.

"It’s when the air always feels like this," replied Ash and waved his hands a little. Some electricity scattered around Pikachu a little and it laughed from being tickled.

"It may feel funny, but it bothers us after a while," he said.

All of a sudden there was a large flash coming from outside through the back door. Ash and the two pikachu looked in reaction and they could hear some short dialogue.

"Oh, wow!" said Misty’s voice. "But hey, why do I-"

"Err, wait, stand up and hold still, please!" said Richie nervously, interrupted before she could finish her sentence.

"But I want to go and see Ash."

"No, no, no! That’s a bad idea. Just hold still so I can get this cloth over you!"

There was a short second of silence until Ash could see Misty’s face poke out from the doorway. "Hi!" she said, then stood in the center.

Ash could recognize the top of her as if she were floating in the air, but instead of a silvery white fin he could see the door’s cloth around her waist and her ankles and feet showed from under. She smiled widely, and gave a cute sense of happiness.

Ash didn’t know what to say. Only one word escaped his mouth when seeing her smile: "FANGS?!"

"Eheheh… there was this certain little defect in the process of her getting legs and feet…" said Richie, stepping inside.

"Wha- what was that?" he asked.

"Well… ever seen a water sprite?"

"No, I haven’t."

"Well, let me put a description in a very detailed way…" Richie looked to Misty. "You’re looking right at one."

Misty still had her dangling jewelry that made her the same princess she always was, but now she was a different type of elemental spirit. She was a water sprite.

Water sprites have legs and will usually wear something tight around them so it’s easier to swim. To replace the fins, they had scales scattered around them.

Misty’s scales were just like the scales on her fin: silver and white, glistening in the sunlight. She looked like a sprite anyway, so there wasn’t much to change.

"Yikes," was all Ash said.

* -4 hours

"So isn’t this great? Now you don’t have to carry me all the time," said Misty as they walked back towards her lake.

"Uh-huh," replied Ash with a smile.

"But swimming will probably be different now, but with me living underwater I’m sure I’ll get used to it. I’ll bet my sisters will…" Misty stopped in the middle of her sentence.

"Your sisters will what?" asked Ash.

"Oh… Oh my goodness, no. If my sisters see me like this what will they think? I’d be like an outcast being a sprite instead of a nymph. I’d probably be some sort of freak to them."

"Well, maybe if we just explain to them that you like to go on land sometimes they’ll understand. Your family is flexible… right?"

"No. No!" exclaimed Misty, now with a worried face. "No, I can tell you one thing; my family’s anything but flexible. I never even got to choose who I wanted to marry! And my sisters will probably make an even bigger fuss over it."

"This is crazy," said Ash. "How can we-"

Somebody grabbed Ash’s ankle suddenly and yanked on it, causing him to trip over on his side.

"Keep away from our little sister!" said a girl.

Ash looked confusingly at the crazy pink-haired girl, struggling to get his foot loose.

"You stupid thunder nymph can’t you go back up to your darned cloud?!" shouted another girl with blonde hair next to her.

"You’ve got no right to be kidnapping her!" said a third girl with bluish purple hair.

"Woah, you girls are crazy! What the heck are you talking about?!"

"Lily, Daisy, Violet, let go of him!" shouted Misty and grabbed Ash’s arm’s pulling in the opposite direction.

There was a small tug-of-war between Misty and her sisters while Ash felt like he was going to get his foot and arms ripped out of his body.

"Don’t worry Misty, he’s trying to fly away but we won’t let him escape with you!" said Daisy.

Obviously they didn’t know Misty was in this tug-of-war. "Idiots, he’s not doing anything! I’m pulling on him so let go of his leg!"

"What?!" exclaimed the three sisters and let go in shock of their deer sister’s words.

Ash was catapulted into Misty and his back landed on top of her. Daisy, Lily, and Violet’s eyes widened as they could see Misty’s legs sticking out from under.

Ash toppled off of Misty and stood up, rubbing the back of his head. Misty shook herself a little to get out of the dizziness and gave a disgruntle look.

She opened her eyes, seeing her sisters still with wide eyes. "Err, I…" she mumbled.

"My god, the boy really is a sprite!" said Violet.

Everybody face-faulted at the thought.

"Misty, I can’t believe you!" said Daisy in a scolding manner. "You’ve been turned more into a sprite than you already were and you’ve also been walking around on land with some unknown thunder nymph!"

"Well if he’s considered unknown then you now know him! His name is Ash, I love him, and there’s nothing you can do to stop me from it!" said Misty. She stood up, dusting off the cloth around her and crossed her arms.

"And what do you think your fiancé think of this?!" asked Lily.

"He’d think it was the luckiest day of his life not to marry me, that’s what."

"And how could you ever know?" said Violet.

"You can find that out for yourself because I’m not going to stick around to answer!" said Misty with a pout and grabbed Ash’s arm. "If my family can’t understand then it’s too bad for them. I’m not a part of this family anymore!"

Misty dragged Ash into the forest, leaving her sisters behind, unable to follow.

* -0 minutes

"What will we do?" wondered Violet.

"Mother will never believe her sister’s become a water sprite," said Daisy.

"And what about Tracey?" asked Lily.

"I’d say she already gave that answer to you," said a voice.

They saw Tracey next to them, watching Ash and Misty as they walked away, deeper into the forest.

* -10 minutes

Once again they sat at their favorite spot by the river. By now it was autumn and the leaves had turned a beautiful red and gold shade.

"Well I guess that means it is taken care of to the least," said Ash.

"I can’t believe I can’t go back to them. Ever…" said Misty, staring at the water.

Ash looked at Misty’s depressed face. She would miss her family and friends.

"Maybe I never should have came around here," he said. "It’s all my fault."

Misty shot her head up. "No!" she said, putting her hands on his shoulders and looking directly into his eyes. "I’d rather be with you than anybody. It’s not your fault at all."

"Yes, but if you can’t go back, where will you stay? I have to leave tonight."

"I suppose now you want to be a water sprite as well?" said somebody behind them.

Ash and Misty looked back at Richie and the two pikachu next to him.

Ash smiled. "I think that could be an exception."
